The Post Back to School Bash Filthy ReportPosted on 04 Oct 2009
I’m Filthy Josh Hammerstein and this is the Filthy Report! We are a few days past the “Legendary” PCW Back to School Bash and a lot of news comes out of that event. I’m not going to talk much about the matches and results, if you were there you saw it, if you weren’t there then go read Andrew’s well written recap of the show here on the main page or on the boards. -Saw a lot of former PCW superstars in the crowd. Rick Matthews with his broken ankle, Kevy Chevy, AJ Sanchez and Don Douglas came out to catch the show, “Mecca” Shane Madison and “Playboy” Will Damon were there to cheer on their former partner in MVP Donny Dicaprio in his return to the ring. I even saw Darien Charisma at one point, who retired in the centre of the PCW ring at the Lid a few years ago. He seems to be enjoying life outside of wrestling. -Many “legendary returns” happened on Thursday night, with Moses Luke, TJ Bratt, and Donny Dicaprio appearing back in a PCW ring. We also saw the comeback of former senior official Steve H. Ross, who is a welcome addition to the referee ranks of PCW. The less said about the other return, the better. I'll be honest, I don't like the debut of the man known as "Big Chee". I'm not a fan of him, I don't think he has a lot he can bring to PCW, and I would rather him not be a part of the company. However, since I don't get consulted on hiring decisions, all I can do is bitch here. But hey, it’s my blog, I’ll whine if I want. -Mo Luke and “Big Chee” have some history, but I believe the mask was the other way around last time. Will we see that history come into play here? Time will tell. -Now that Kory Kinkade has been revealed under the Ludacris mask, and suffered a vicious beating by Pete Chee and Pon Chee, will we see him in a PCW ring again? I for one hope so. I think there is definitely a place on the roster for him, and I hope he sticks around. Just don’t give him a flag. -TJ Bratt told us, in the verbally profane way that only he can, that he will be taking a young wrestler and helping them focus themselves towards advancement in PCW. Who will this be, someone already on the roster who just needs that push over the edge, or someone new to a PCW ring? -I'm slightly surprised, and also not surprised at all, by the no-show of Ryan Wood. After what happened to him with Colt Cabana and Abyss, you'd think he'd be a bit more considerate of promoters, knowing from personal experience how hard it is to re-book day of a show. -Just watched night 1 of ROH Death Before Dishonor 7, featuring Kevin Steen teaming up with PCW favorite Lance Storm. The simultaneous Sharpshooters was a thing of beauty. -Damn, Lacey’s got a nice butt. Just saying. The Top Two Filthy Moments of the Night? #1:Donny DiCaprio’s picture perfect German Suplex on Robby Royce. All I can say is, DAMN. I think Royce’s head got shoved halfway down his spine. ![]() #2:Kevin Steen trying to get girls to take off their shirts, and Shirley in the front row getting a bit too into it. First she took off her Kenny Omega shirt to reveal an El Generico shirt underneath. Okay, but then she kept going. Thanks a lot, Steen. The next PCW show is November 5th, 9pm at Dylan’s on Pembina, and there are many questions to be answered. Who else from the past will make a return? Who will TJ Bratt take under his wing? Now that Team Impact have won the tag straps, who is on the horizon as their first challengers? Who will be the number one contenders for the Canadian and Heavyweight titles? Sabretooth won a shot at any title and champion on the roster, when will we see him cash it in? Now that Nate Hardy has lost the tag belts, will he branch out on his own and start defending the CWF title he’s been carrying for the year? Until next time, keep it filthy!
