From The Press: Christmas Day, 2009
Posted on 26 Dec 2009

I hope you all enjoyed the holidays, I know I certainly did. Let's see the biggest news stories of the week in the wrestling world...

Mike Tyson looks to be making his return to WWE. It was announced that he would be guest hosting Raw on January 11th. And then...the announcement was removed. Well, don't worry, it's back up there and looks confirmed 100% this time. Should be interesting and you have to wonder if Shawn's going to try and get revenge for screwing him over of the title and knocking him out way back at WrestleMania 14 or if they're going to completely throw that out the window for useless DX skits with Tyson?

TNA seems to agree with the rest of the world...Lacey Von Erich is not very good. They seem unhappy with her work and seemed to have rushed her push to television. There's only one word to sum all of this up...DUH!

Apparently Teddy Hart is running around telling the world that he's going back to WWE now that Bret is signed back on. Take that for what it's worth as Teddy usually says things and is quite the hostile trouble maker in everybody's locker rooms. Some are even saying he doesn't have the ring psychology to compete in the WWE. Maybe he should follow in Kraven Sicario's footsteps and get a PhD in Ring Psychology?

At TNA's last pay-per-view this past Sunday, the redneck boyfriend of ODB Jesse Neal, was scheduled to be fired however, someone else demanded to be released. Shawn Davairi! Apparently he was unhappy with the direction of his career and demanded to be released. Probably for the better, he was lost in the shuffle already...imagine when Hogan brings back the Iron Shiek to TNA?

Other quick notable mentions in the dirt sheets...

1. Kid Kash is in jail of identity theft, theft of property, and a couple other things. He's schedule to go to court and looks like he's going to be in quite a bit of trouble.

2. Hogan's next idea for TNA is to get rid of the 6-sided ring in TNA. Bravo! This could be the only good news so far from him being signed other than the live Impact episode competing against Raw.

3. Tommy Dreamer has requested his release from WWE and was granted it. I guess Charlie Haas was a more viable asset to keep as and promote than some ECW guy, right? I'm sure he's already scheduled in next week's Impact to team with Raven and the rest of the ECW leftovers.

That's it for this week, not too shabby for it being the holidays. We'll see ya next time!
