The 1st year of PCW was a monumental, history-making year not only for PCW, but for Winnipeg Wrestling as a whole. By bringing in some of the biggest stars in wrestling (Eddie Guerrero, Brutus Beefcake, Honkytonk Man, the Legion of Doom, and Buff Bagwell) and producing some of the brightest stars (Kenny Omega, Rawskillz, Mentallo, Shane Madison), wrestling fans took notice and flocked to PCW wherever they held an event.

In it's second year, PCW crowned it's first ever Heavyweight Champion and there were some controversy surrounding the title later that year as well. PCW also crowned their first ever Tag Team Champions and it proved to be a very competitive division since day one. The true stars of PCW began to shine as Kenny Omega, Rawskillz, and Adam Knight began to take center stage.

The Canadian Championship was established in this year and while Mentallo was making a name for himself by hanging onto that championship, Adam Knight dominated as he held the PCW Heavyweight Championship throughout most of the year and even defeated some former WWE Superstars to hang onto it, proving that he was a force to be reckoned with in Premier Championship Wrestling.

Mentallo, Robby Royce, Rawskillz, Kenny Omega and even the legendary Steve Corino were all at each other's throats throughout the year 2005, all trying to claim the PCW Heavyweight Championship as their property. Some gruesome battles took place and this may be recognized as the Year For the Hardcore as ladder matches and extreme rules matches left the fans wanting more brutality.

"The Year For The Hardcore" faded away this year with the introduction and retiring of the Open Rules Championship occured. Mentallo and Rawskillz solidified themselves as top players while Kenny Omega was away however, when he returned from the WWE he was more than willing to battle as he had an amazing, 5 star caliber dream match with TNA Superstar "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles.

"The Era of Angels" would best describe the year 2007. Mike Angels rose the ranks, taking on former friend Mentallo and capturing the PCW Heavyweight Championship. A war then took over the summer in PCW between Angels and Adam Knight over the title. Add Kenny Omega to the mix and a star on the rise in AJ Sanchez and it made for another exciting year in Premier Championship Wrestling.

It was an end of an era in 2008 as PCW said goodbye to it's home headquarters of the LID Nightclub. However, it was not the end of Premier Championship Wrestling as it had some historic moments throughout the rest of the year in it's new venue of Dylan's on Pembina including several farewells and the shocking returns of Team Impact and Mentallo.

PCW made even more history in 2009 with it's first-ever Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match along with some of their stars finding success overseas in Japan and Ring of Honor and putting on quite possibly their greatest show to date with the exciting return of the Premier Cup Tournament.
