Posted on 20 Nov 2009 by PCW News So rumors are flying now that Sid Vicious is heading to TNA. This isn't coming from Hogan's big mouth like the Austin rumors were last week, but Sid's promotional people themselves. I'd still take it with a grain of salt to try and get WWE's attention but who knows? And with that being said, can Sid be a positive influence to TNA or will he be lost in the shuffle amongst all the other older talent that has come in? WrestleMania 27 has had lots of talks about heading to Toronto once again this year and those rumors seem to have lots of merit behind it. According to sources, the Rogers Center (formerly known as the SkyDome) has been airing footage on their big screen saying they're welcoming WWE there along with the WrestleMania logo. We can only hope. Wouldn't it be interesting to get a bus load and have an all-weekend Mania party? Several guest hosts have been revealed coming soon on Raw. We heard recently of Dennis Miller hosting the Slammy's on a 3 hour edition, Jesse Ventura is coming up this week, Marc Cuban who is a big WWE fan has signed up, as well as "Mini Me" Verne Troyer. I feel bad for Chavo as it looks like he's going to be humiliated a lot in the upcoming weeks with these guests. Possibly a handicap match with Hornswoggle/Troyer Vs. Chavo? Or maybe Chris Masters will jiggle his pecks some more. If only the Divas could steal his gimmick... Some big news making the rounds is that Shane McMahon had a preliminary meeting with UFC officials, including Dana White. There's no doubt that Shane's a huge UFC fan and with his business sense of taking the WWE worldwide and expanding it's global presence, he would prove to be a huge asset to the UFC offices. The question is, will Shane and Dana come to an agreement or will Shane move to another passion? And probably the biggest news to come out of this week is Brock Lesnar's career-threatening illness. Don't you find it sort of weird that Dana White came out and said it wasn't an STD? Why didn't he name drop the Swine Flu as it's more of a worldwide epidemic than STD's? Maybe it's because his wife is known to be a bit of a gold-digging (fill in the blank). Sunny seems to be having fun with it on Twitter, why can't I? Seriously, I hope Brock makes a full recovery and can defend his title once again. He's been a force to be reckoned with in the UFC and was only starting to realize his true potential. That's it for now, and for the record, I wouldn't take it from any wrestling celebrity. Contrary to popular belief, I know that just by sleeping with celebrities, it won't get me any further in the business. Plus it would probably just leave a bad taste in my mouth. I'll let you swallow that fact. Until next week, this is From The Press! Content Management Powered by CuteNews
