Posted on 14 Dec 2009 by Jay Show opens up with Dennis Miller whose political humor flies high above the little children's heads. He did make a nice joke about Obama though which got a decent reaction from the crowd. I'm not going to review awards and whether or not they deserve them. It's pointless. Good to see Jerishow Vs. DX tonight, hoping Jerishow wins but not likely at all. Weird to see ECW get some TV time here, especially in the opener considering who's in the match. This slow start to Raw is already setting up for a bad night. Christian/Great Khali/Kane just sounds like a generic bad team and they won over the heel team of William Regal/Ezekiel Jackson and Kozlov. Who? Exactly. What a bad way to follow up after a pay-per-view with several new champions. Speaking of which...out comes Sheamus for a short promo. That's it. Kingston Vs. Cody Rhodes errr, Evan Bourne/Kofi Kingston Vs. Legacy. Legacy actually wins to help establish the team a little more after disappearing for what seemed like a couple months. Is Kofi lost in the shuffle again perhaps or is this just a one night thing? Punk cuts his promo, I swear they're trying to build up to Punk Vs Jeff Hardy at Mania, depending on the court date and results. Quickly followed by Cena Vs. Punk with Cena going over. Cena's promo was the usual..."I travelled the heavens and crossed the earth. I am loved and hated more than anyone today! I'm all jacked up and ready for a fight! However...I'm humble because that's the nature of my character so I can accept a loss and be very calm after just exploding...if that makes sense. I'm not mad anymore, but I'm coming to get you Sheamus." Oh, and he mentions that he's not losing until he wins back the WWE title. **SPOILER ALERT** Way to go, you ruined 6 years of WWE programming. Shawn wins match of the year and then challenges Undertaker to a rematch at WrestleMania 26. I know this got lots of people excited, but I'm on the fence about it. As good as it will be, it won't match the Mania 25 match. And, we know Taker's not going to win. I think I'd rather see Cena Vs. Taker and HBK Vs. HHH...I can't believe I just typed that either. Undertaker Vs. Orton, glad that Orton got over on this one and cheating nonetheless. Finally brought back the smart Orton that always thinks one step ahead. It was an ok match for what it was. I still think my favorite from these two was WrestleMania 21. Bob Barker actually accepting his award for Guest Host was kind of awesome. Then Miller says Bret Hart should be a guest host which got a huge reaction. Great tease, just not sure if it's going to happen or not. DX Vs. Jerishow - More entertaining than their ppv match, but that's not saying much. McIntyre/Ryder/Miz Vs. Morrison/Yoshi Tatsu/Mark Henry Another random team match...and when did Miz become an afterthought on Raw? He's been one of the most charismatic entertaining guys of the year! The finish was great with Tatsu knocking out Zack Ryder with the kick. 7 on 7 Diva match: Match of the year right here... Batista pulls the Kanye West on Maria's Diva of the Year acceptance speech. Pointless. Abraham Washington is finally on Raw and we got...big...dick...johnson...ugh...Micheal Cole wins an award?! UGH! DX/Hornswoggle lame skit? UUUUUUUGGGGHH!!!!! Superstar of the year: Cena Vs. Orton, an ok tv match but nothing special. It's obvious who was going to win, Cena. He told us that earlier. Sheamus comes at the top of the ramp to end the show. No title defense by Sheamus? Just a weak promo? But Cena takes up all that time on the show with 2 matches and a promo? This was a very bad Raw following the TLC pay-per-view. The only good news is that the Royal Rumble is coming soon which means everyone's going to be getting into WrestleMania fever. Content Management Powered by CuteNews
